Stress Awareness is a month dedicated to spreading awareness on the negative impacts of stress. Stress is defined as a state of mental or emotional strain caused by unfavorable circumstances. People of all ages can have stress. When an individual feels stress their heart beats fast, their muscles begin to tighten, and their blood pressure starts to rise. This happens as a way for your body to prepare itself against danger. A study found on Healthline.com shows that 33% of adults reported experiencing high levels of stress in their daily lives.
To limit stress in your life, one can do things such as: exercise, eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and remember to have fun. These factors are important because they release the strain on your body and reduce anxiety and depression. They are also responsible for stimulating the production of endorphins which helps to alleviate a person’s mood.
